Sycamore Hill Flower Farm

Our story

Welcome to Sycamore Hill, where every petal tells a story of passion, sustainability, and the beauty of nature.

Our journey began with a simple seed of inspiration – a dream to cultivate a space where the vibrant colours and delicate fragrances of flowers could flourish sustainably. Nestled in the heart of Brant County, our 15-acre family-owned farm embodies a commitment to responsible growing practices and a deep-rooted love for the earth.

What sets us apart is not just the kaleidoscope of blooms that adorn our fields but the ethical principles that guide every step of our process. We believe in nurturing the land as much as the flowers it yields. That's why we've embraced eco-friendly techniques, from organic fertilizers to natural pest control methods, ensuring that each bloom is as gentle on the environment as it is captivating to behold.

But our story isn't just about petals and stems – it's about the people behind them. We are happiest when our hands are dirty, when the sun is shining on our backs as we work, or the rain is waking everything up. We want to share the beauty of our flowers and leverage this farm to nurture the rest of our property, removing invasive species and planting rare and endangered native species. We're thrilled to offer beautiful flowers, but we’re proud to have Certified Wildlife Friendly Habitat.

At Sycamore Hill, sustainability isn't just a buzzword – it's a way of life. We're committed to reducing our carbon footprint, conserving water, and supporting local ecosystems. By bringing back native species, minimizing waste, and practicing responsible harvesting, we're sowing the seeds for a greener, more beautiful tomorrow.

As you buy our bouquets, inhaling the sweet perfume of colourful blossoms, we invite you to become part of our story. Whether you're picking up a bouquet for a special occasion, buying a subscription for a loved one, or making a custom order for an event, you're helping to preserve a tradition that's as timeless as it is precious.

Thank you for joining us on this blooming adventure. Together, let's celebrate the magic of flowers – and the natural world that sustains them.

About Us

Sycamore Hill haven is nestled in the heart of lush countryside, where blooms flourish under the care of Colin Phillips and Mandey Moote. But our farm is more than just a place to grow flowers; it's a labour of love, a testament to our shared passion for nature and conservation.

Colin and Mandey's journey began with a mutual love for the great outdoors. Bonding over fishing trips and backcountry camping adventures, they discovered a deep connection with the natural world and a shared desire to protect it for future generations. Their belief that every individual can make a difference through acts of conservation inspired them to embark on a mission to steward the land and its inhabitants.

In 2012, they took up beekeeping, fostering colonies of honeybees that not only produce delicious honey but also play a vital role in pollinating our fields. As their commitment to sustainability grew, so did their dream of cultivating a flower farm where beauty and environmental stewardship intersected.

Today, Colin and Mandey pour their hearts and souls into Sycamore Hill Flower Farm, where they revel in the simple joys of working the soil, restoring the balance of nature on their property, and nurturing vibrant blooms. But their greatest joy comes from sharing the beauty of nature with others, whether it's through farm tours, workshops, or simply welcoming visitors who are picking up their bouquets.

Join us on this journey of growth, discovery, and conservation. Together, let's celebrate the beauty of flowers and the magic of nature at Sycamore Hill Flower Farm.

Feedback from our customers

  • Gorgeous flowers grown with love!

  • Best flower market around! We were in need of flowers for our June wedding, and thankfully Sycamore Hill had many varieties ready to be cut so early in the season. My favourites were lisanthus, snap dragons, stock and feverfew. The owner, Mandey, was extremely knowledgeable and helped my vision come to life. The buckets of fresh flowers they provided allowed us to create our own beautiful arrangements. Looking forward to next season and seeing what's in bloom!
